European Circular Construction Alliance is pleased to invite you, as a member of associated cluster, to complete the following survey dedicated to the issues of circular economy.
The Alliance was established within the European project whose main goal was to create a wide meta-cluster supporting associated clusters and business network organizations, their SMEs and other cluster members in collaboration for innovation, market-uptake, and marketing of competitive products, services and technologies in the field of circular economy in construction sector.
Circular economy approach promotes greater resource productivity aiming to reduce waste and avoid pollution. In contrast to a linear economy, which is a 'take, make, dispose' model of production, the circular economy is restorative and regenerative, and aims to keep products, components, and materials at their highest utility and value at all times. Thus, the circular economy is a continuous positive development cycle that:
(1) preservesand enhances natural capital, optimises resource yields, and minimises system risks by managing finite stocks and renewable flows,
(2) creates circular value chains (which are based on cooperation of different companies).
It works effectively at every scale. The key principle of a circular economy is “the goods of today are the resources of tomorrow at yesterday’s prices” [Circular Business Models - Part 1: An Introduction to IMSA’s circular business model scan, IMSA Amsterdam, 2015].
European Circular Construction Alliance is gained to adopt the circular economy mechanisms to create an effective internationalization strategy for the Alliance and increase global competitiveness of European SMEs in the construction area.
Thus, within this survey we would like to identify your different competences, available resources, as well as visions and interests in innovative collaboration and commercial engagement within the European Circular Construction Alliance.
The ECCA partners` members, e.g. SMEs will benefit from taking part in this survey in the following ways:
- visibility of the circular economy competences for the company, including promotion of circular construction solutions on the ECCA web page (ECCA Catalog),
- improved feasibility for networking in terms of R&D, business collaboration and internationalization with complementary companies from other countries,
- taking part in mapping studies of complementary circular construction solutions in sectors and cross sectoral borders,
- entering to micro consortia for optional R&D co-financing from other sources, and improved position for acquiring co-finanancing for internationalization activities as the key objective of ECCA project,
- inclusion to the ECCA e-newsletters mailing list.
